Blending the aesthetics of two cultures, Neha Agarwal mesmerized the audience with Russian form-fitting fashion of the the 1900s crafted from Indian textiles, at Lakme Fashion Week SR15. Indo-Soviet assortment of vibrant, summer ensembles formed her collection titled, “From Russia, With Love.”

The collection spoke the global language of fashion, yet its essence lay in its home roots. Cotton denims, Russian themed tail coats and knife pleated skirts crafted using traditional embroidery techniques were predominant in the show. Russian prints on ethnic georgette, dupion and pattu silk spoke of a bi-cultural unity.

Denim was predominant in Neha Agarwal’s collection: bamboo denim jackets with cape collars, denim cropped tops with imprints of babushka dolls, flared jumpsuits with denim bodice, corseted denim paired with a maxi skirt as well as denim maxi skirts.

Charismatic actress, Karishma Kapoor walked down the runway in a gown that featured a blush pink will-power bodice with a pink to chrome yellow ombré and an artistically embroidered cape.

Neha is definitely bringing some Russian love!
