Young designer Sonaakshi Raaj, popularly known as Bollywood Sari Gown specialist, unveils a glamorous spectacular collection christened ‘Broadway Affair’ on 15th Marchat Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) Summer/Resort 2014.
The label Sonaakshi Raaj is synonymous with opulence, with an intention to create stylish ensembles catering to women’s couture wear with a design philosophy that is distinctly feminine and refined.
With noticeable international aesthetics and style, designer Sonaakshi Raaj says, “This LFW Summer Resort 2014, my line reflects the most celebrated dance form – Broadway. The collection draws inspiration from the surreal Broadway dance which is different from other styles because the fusion of ballet, jazz and modern allows for unconventional movements and unusual use of body parts.
The collection consists of fabrics like satin, georgettes, etc. along with appealing racy structured silhouettes and flirty cuts. Intricate texturing and styles in fascinating solid and bright pop palette like white, black, champagne, peaches, etc., that never date, have been incorporated in this unique collection for LFW.
Focus has been on the multiform layering and draping, depicting fluid dance forms with opulent chunky, encrusted stone work with embroidery detailing to add a royal appeal to this collection.
